Marty W. Long

Marty W. Long, 85, passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at his residence with his daughters by his side. A graduate of East High School and U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. Longtime member of the Columbus Jazz Society. Retired from DSCC after 35 years of service and later retired from The Ohio State University after 30 years of service. He is preceded in death by wife Evelyn E. Long; sister Theresa M. Thomas; parents Benjamin E. and Eva M. Long. He is survived by loving daughters, Ms. Monica L. Long and Ms. Vernecia K. Long; brother-in-law, Frank (Edwina) Swann of Dayton, Ohio; cousin, Fred (Stephanie) Harris; many other relatives and friends.
