Marvin L. Bibb, age 82, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. He was born May 8, 1929 in Columbus, OH to the late Logan and Lea Bibb. He graduated South High Class of 1948, and attended Wittenburg University. A retired foreman at Techni-Glas and Federal Glass, he was recognized as WSYX Channel Six Person of the Week, for 30 years service as director of the Sharing our Blessings Food Pantry at Hosack Baptist Church, where he had also served as chairman of Deacon Board, as Sunday school teacher, and as president of the Baptist Training Union. He was founder and head coach of the South Side Stallions Youth League football. He was a veteran Sgt. of the Korea War. He was predeceased by his brother, William Bibb; sister, Thelma Riley; daughter, Tonya Manns; and granddaughter, Melendez Bibb. Cherishing his wonderful legacy are his wife of 62 years, Ola Mae Bibb; sons, Marvin and William; daughters, Rachel, Marva (Walter) Truss, and Kimberly (James) Garrett; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Tynes; and a host of other relatives and friends; including special caregiver, Yvonne Fleshman.
