Mary Alice (Banks) Davis

Mary A. Davis, age 74, went home to the Lord Wednesday, August 31, 2011. She was born March 13, 1937 in Tazewell, VA, the daughter, of Cecil and Martha Banks. She was a member of the Columbus Bibleway Church, where she served as a Deaconess and Choir Director for many years. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Melvin; three brothers, three sisters, and son, Tony Brown Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Mark and Jermaine (Christina) Davis; daughters, Sharon Davis, Rhonda Groom, Terri Kee, Tierra Davis, and daughter of love, Mindy Sayre. She also leaves brothers, William (Alma) and Charles Banks; sisters, Ollie (Sam) Watkins, Rosa (Tom) Thomas, Hilda (Brent) Anthony, and Regina Harris; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; friend of over 50 years, Mrs. Martha Abbott; and special niece, Lisa Walton.
