Mary Ann 'Ms. Ann' Reid

Mary Ann Reid, 65, born January 5, 1949 in Griffin, GA, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2014. A 1967 graduate of Linden-McKinley High School, she was a longtime member of First Church of God and a former employee of Ohio Bell and Blue Cross-Blue Shield. Known for her many years as an AVON representative, and an organizer of numerous interstate bus tours and shopping trips. An avid moviegoer and loved hosting family gatherings, but nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren. Predeceased by father James Horton, and stepfather Marvin K. Ware, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Survived by children, Christopher Corey Reid, Rina Reid, Anitra (Darryl Jr.) Lambert, and Tonya Brown-Featherstone; mother Lois Ware; brother Arthur “Sonny” Reid; 9 grandchildren, LaShae Brown, Sade Simone Singleton, Darryl Lambert, III, Dasan Lawrence, Leila Suarez Reid, Makaila Lambert, Azana Lawrence, Dillon Brown, and Kayden Lambert; aunts Hattie Sue Reid and Gladys Reid; adopted sons, Chris Scott, Mario Marcus, and Sean Lawrence; and numerous cousins, other relatives and dear friends, including her devoted lifelong friends of 50+ years, Vicki Zellner, Ella Mae Flowers, Linda Coles, Stephanie Cundiff, Sherlynn Peoples, and Miriam Chever.
