Mary Evelyn Capito was born in Huntington, West Virginia on January 19, 1926. In her early years, as a single mother with three young children, she worked at Mercy Hospital in Urbana, Ohio. On cold days, when her car wouldn’t start, she would walk from Mechanicsburg to Urbana; a good mother doing what she had to do to take care of her children. Mary was a caretaker by nature; always smiling even though her pain. She loved everyone that came into her life - as did they. She accepted Christ at an early age. Mary retired from T.C.H. with over 30 years of service. Mary went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Villa Angela Care Center. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Dolby; father, Wade; husband, Alvin H. Capito; daughter, Donna Houston; three sisters, Manerva “Teenie” Seward, Erma Lucas, Patricia Hert and brother, James Seward. She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Dwight E. Turner; daughter, Quan L. Starks; grandson, who she called her son, Bruce Starks; two sisters, Roberta Seward (John Crosley) and Barbara Seward, of Springfield, Ohio; many nieces and nephews and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
