Mary Louise Whittaker

Mary Louise Whittaker, 91, went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Isabelle Ridgway Care Center. Born July 21, 1919 in Ashville, North Carolina, Mary was a retired school teacher and a faithful member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander Whittaker, Jr. Mary is survived by two sons Michael Whittaker of Columbus, OH and Gerald Whittaker of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren, Gerald Jr., Janice and Ashley; as well as a host of other loving relatives, church family and friends. Homegoing Celebration 12 noon, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 639 E. Long Street, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the start of service. Dr. Michael R. Bean, Sr., officiating. Interment Union Cemetery.
