Mattie Ware, affectionately known as “Madea”, 97, departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at her son's residence. She and her twin were born in Eutaw, Alabama in May of 1921. She was baptized at the age of 8 in Eutaw, Alabama, Bethlehem Baptist Church She received primary education but was educated through life experiences. She was a homemaker that married twice and widowed, there were 8 children born from those unions. She was a woman that never bit her tongue about anything. She enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, gardening, cooking, a little nip, spending time with family, dressing to the nine and she especially loved talking to her twin sister day & night. Preceded in death by her parents, Pinkie Jackson & Billy Williams; siblings, Bettye Taylor, Minnie Moore, Sarah Belton, Robert Childress, and Wilson Childress; son Michael Cunningham; daughter Ruby Ware; and a grandchild. She leaves to cherish her memory, her twin sister, Hattie Belton; sisters, Annie Lee Underwood from Cols, Ohio. Virginia Lee Jenkins, Bernice (Walter) Jenkins, Justina Farmer, and Willie (Mary Helen) Coleman, from Baltimore, Maryland; loving children, Johnnie (Ben) Etheridge, Jimmy Cunningham, Mattie Thomas, John Cunningham, Estella Jernigan, Ruben Ware from Columbus, OH; 17 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 32 great great grandchildren, 5 great great great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
