Max “Tony” Freeman was born on January 3, 1932, in Rockmart Georgia, at a very early age his family moved to Gadsden, Alabama where he was raised and worked as a Brick Mason and Carpenter. He later moved to Columbus Ohio in the fifties and worked as a Masonry Construction Worker for over four decades with Val Dalcandro; Mark Delco and Jeff Shaw Construction Companies. He met his wife in 1983 and married her in 1986. He loved hunting, gardening and traveling with his wife. On Tuesday January the 20, 2015, Tony passed at his residence at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Freeman, parents; Barclay Freeman and Ola M. (Philpot) Freeman; two brothers, Douglas Freeman, Walter (Mary) Freeman; four sisters Bessie Williams, Laura Stephens, Nettie (Larry) Crews, Nerita Humphrey. He is survived by his wife Lauretta Freeman; children; Radell (Elizabeth) Freeman of Kentucky; Audrey Freeman of Greenwood, North Carolina; Winzena Hutchison of Birmingham, Alabama; Tonya Goldsmith of Columbus, Ohio; Sharon Freeman of Atlanta, Georgia; Sondra L. (James) Muhammad of Center Point Alabama; Alexander Vinson of Columbus Ohio; Jacqueline Vinson of Columbus, Ohio; 34 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters; Zora Robinson Atlanta, Georgia, Elwanda Buchanan of Atlanta, Georgia; brother; O’Donald Freeman of Fort Worth, Texas a host of nieces and nephews and special friends Mantis Perez; Whiskers, Sherry and Jeff Shaw. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his special granddaughters Granny Puss (Dasianay) and Gurdie Bell (Miracle). And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
