Maxine Mapp

Maxine Mapp was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 12, 1946. She was called to rest on Saturday, January 18th 2025. Maxine was the baby of 6 children born to Kattie (Weathers) Mapp and Charlie Mapp. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Oliver Mapp, Lester Weathers, John (Lucille) Mapp, and sister Delorise Mapp.

Maxine graduated from Columbus East HIgh School in 1964. She retired from MORPC in 1999 after many years of service as a Program Assistant. She was a devoted member of the Order of Eastern Star organization until her health prevented her from attending.

Maxine was a loving mother, sister and friend. She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Latonya Palmer and son Charles Tucker; Sister Gloria Fells of Detroit, MI.;.Grandchildren; Desmond Hutchins, Breanna Thurman, Eric Palmer Jr., Tariea Williams, Mark Calloway, Tucker Lewis, Christopher Pemberton, Charles Mapp and 20 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews: Michelle Watkins, John Mapp Jr; Tyrone, Prokay, Derrick, Ranay Fells, Tim and Kevin Reynolds all of Detroit, MI; Nekole (Randy) Henry, Marvin, David, Pamela, and Denise Weathers of Columbus Ohio.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following.
