Melvin Clyde Brown

Melvin Clyde Brown, age 94 went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2021. He passed peacefully in his home. He was born on November 4, 1926, to the late Melvin W. and Mary Crawford Brown, in Fort Lawn, SC. Preceded in death by parents and wife Willa Mae Brown and brother Truitt D. Brown. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Fred) Turner, Lisa (Charles) Gilton, Tracy Woodford and Steven Woodford; granddaughters, Kristen (Chris) Ford, Ryann (Ayo) Fapohunda and great-grandson, Duke Charles; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-laws and friends. Special thanks and appreciation to Hospice Nurse, Dawn Henslee and RN, Germain Gilton for their kind and thoughtful care. After 32 years of service, he retired from the Rite Rug Company and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
