Michael Jackson Sr

Michael Donnell Jackson, Senior passed away on June 15, 2023 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born on February 24, 1966 to Eddie L. Jackson and the late Ozzie D. Jackson in Washington, D.C.

Michael attended public schools in Washington, D.C. and completed off-set printing training in Charleston, West Virginia. Michael loved his family and was very proud to be a stay-at-home father when his children were young. He was an avid fisherman, cook, gardener and pawn broker. He also owned and operated M & S Grub Hub food truck. He had a very enthusiastic and friendly personality and as such, he never met a stranger. Michael was an annual supporter of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Purple Stride Walk.

Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Frank (Geneva) Mathis; paternal grandparents John (Eunice) Jackson; and his mother and father-in-law, Demetrice and Curtis Hardman.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 35 years Sharon Jackson; daughter Cierra; grandson, Gabriel; son, Michael Jr.; grandson, Damaris; granddaughter, Michaiah; father, Eddie (Jeanette) Jackson of Forestville, Maryland; sister, Edwena Jackson of Camp Springs, Maryland; brother, Dexter (Latishia) Jackson of Clinton, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
