Michael Leve Toney 68, of Columbus, Ohio passed away in his home June 21, 2019. He was born October 14, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio, to Donald F. and Margaret A. (Wooden) Toney . He was raised in Columbus and was a 1968 graduate of West High School where he ran track. He attended both The Ohio State University and Columbus Vocational Trade School. At an early age, Mike gave his life to Christ in April, 1957 at the Oakley Baptist Church on the Hilltop where Rev. J. Ashburn was the Pastor. Mike retired from General Motors, Fisher Body after working as a Production Supervisor in different cities including Spring Hill Tennessee where he worked at the Saturn division. Mike was a real sports enthusiast who liked to play and watch a variety of sports. Of course his first love was for the Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed playing chess and loved going to the movies. He loved being around with his grandchildren, and going out to eat with his daughter, Tammy. His favorite place to eat was Golden Corral. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Donald and Margaret Toney. Mike leaves to cherish memories; children, Tamela M. Toney, Christopher S. Toney; brother, Wendell 7 (Patricia) Toney; grandchildren, Delia, Layaugna, Mia, Ava, and Sophia; Long-time friend, Vicky Mays; nephews, nieces, and a host of relatives and friends.
