Myron Kahn Thigpen

Myron Kahn Thigpen passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at his home in Columbus, Ohio. He was 57 years old.

Myron who most often went by "Kahn", was born May 16, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Gabriel Thigpen and Darla Caliver Thigpen. An excellent student athlete, Kahn was accepted and attended the prestigious Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey before later returning home to Columbus to finish his studies at Marion Franklin High School. While at Marion Franklin, Kahn excelled at basketball, baseball and football.
Throughout his lifetime Kahn held a variety of occupations ranging from commercial carpentry, drywall finisher and painter, and several positions in the logistics and operations field. Kahn was also a licensed insurance broker. Most recently Kahn was employed with Bellabox.

Later in life his Kahn developed a love for the game of golf. It was a passion he often participated in with those closest to him. Other hobbies enjoyed by Kahn included softball, fishing, and bowling. Kahn was an avid sports fans who loved the Dallas Cowboys, The LA Lakers, Ohio State, and the Cincinnati Reds. In his spare time Kahn could often be found spending quality time with friends and family. A soft spoken man, Kahn loved people without reservation. He was a selfless man of good character. Kahn took pride in being a good friend, brother, uncle, and most notably, father and grandfather. He loved his sons and grandchildren immensely.

Kahn was preceded in death by parents, Darla Caliver Thigpen and Gabriel Thigpen; grandparents, Earl and Dorothy Caliver, and Gable Thigpen.

Kahn is survived by his sons, Eric Wade of Columbus, Ohio and D'Angelo (Karol) Thigpen of Chillicothe, Ohio; Grandchildren, Madison Wade and Mateo Thigpen; Grandmother, Clara Thigpen of Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Kahn was the much-loved younger brother to Keith (Suzi) Thigpen of Blacklick, Ohio and Kevin (Shannon) Thigpen of Tampa, Florida and older brother of Kenny (Cindy) Thigpen of Bayreuth, Germany, Galion Revere, Brian Revere and Brandi Revere, Middletown, Ohio. Kahn will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and especially close friends Martha and Devon Jones.
