Myrtle Lee Groves, 82, of Columbus, Ohio, transitioned peacefully on February 16, 2025.

Myrtle Lee Groves age 82 departed this life peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, surrounded by Family.

Myrtle was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 23, 1942 to William and Mary Goode and she had one sibling .

Myrtle graduated From East High school In 1960 and then 1962 she married her lase husband Charles Groves. From their union they bore 3 beautiful daughters: Jhoyia , Katyia and Rose Angel.

Myrtle retired From Ohio Health as a phlebotomist after 35 years.

Myrtle was a very sweet and at times Feisty woman. She was a people person she got along with everyone. She was tiny but had a big heart full of compassion and love.

Myrtle was a Healthcare Ministry nurse and a devoted longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was also a member of the order of the Eastern star.

Myrtle groves greatly enjoyed sewing, baking, traveling, going out to eat, creating memories with family and friends and watching football. Her Favorite teams were The Ohio state Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Myrtle groves leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter Jhoyia Solomon; grandkIds, Tanisha Mckinney, Kevin Mckinney, Nakia solomon, Brandon Groves, Jalen Clayton, Keiara Solomon, Janelle Catson; great grandchildren, Keiasia Roulette, Trevion Solomon , Thomas , Jhanaya Williams, Azion McKinney, Kylique Camper, Kamora McKinney; sister In law, Thoyia Higginbotham; and hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by: Father, William Goode and Mother Mary Goode; brother, Frederick Goode; husband, Charles Groves; daughters, Katyia Kabore, and Rose Angel.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at Trinity Baptist Church 461 St Clair Ave, Columbus, OH 43203. Burial will process to Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
