Nancy (Stewart) Jackson, 74, of Pataskala, OH, passed away on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born to Robert and Henrietta Stewart in Columbus, Ohio on January 22, 1949.
On September 21, 1968, Nancy married her childhood sweetheart Reginald (Reggie) Jackson Sr. She was smitten by his charm, and Reggie was smitten by her. To this union were born two sons: Reginald Anthony Jr., and Ricky Levi. Nancy was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be sorely missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. Nancy attended Fleshing Middle School in Fleshing Ohio. She graduated in 1967 from West High School in Columbus. And she attended and graduated from business college her Bachelor’s Degree.
Nancy worked at various companies during her life: Lazarus, State of Ohio Department of Taxation, Battelle, Huntington Bank Credit Card Services, and Victoria Secret as a Fashion Consultant.
Nancy was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions. She was an avid cook and baker, baking cakes, cookies and other delectable treats for friends and family. Nancy was a Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chief NFL Football Team fan. She loved camping and traveling. Nancy loved to take pictures and collect magnets to put on her refrigerator of all the places that she and Reggie traveled. Nancy loved scented candles, spices, and honey.
Nancy had a beautiful penmanship, she found comfort and peace in writing poetry using her artistic talent. Two of her favorite events to attend were the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500 Nascar races. Nancy had a festive spirit, she loved decorating the house during the holiday season, and entertaining family and friends.
Nancy was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was kind and passionate and made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.
Nancy had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. She loved to read. She also had a great fondness for shopping. But the one thing that Nancy cherished the most was her family. She loved her family dearly. Nancy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her children were the light of her life, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her joy.
Nancy is preceded in death by her son Reginald Anthony Jackson Jr, her mother and father, sister, and Grandmother Frankie McMillian; Step father, Ervin Crawley.
Celebrating Nancy’s life and legacy and cherishing her memory are her husband of 55 years Reginald (Reggie); her son Ricky (Tiffany); daughter in law Denise Mance; her grandchildren Bryan, Ricky Jr, Samuel, Chad, and Andrew Jackson, Ashley Mance; great-grandchildren Joelle, Yuir Marie, Rhyan Marie, Aspin, Javisn Jackson; brothers-in-law Walter- Atlanta Georgia, James-San Jose California, Levester- Columbus Ohio; special cousin Denise Gentry; special friends Carrie Valdez, Brenda Reeder, and Diane Reavling; neighbors Ed and Jean Rayford, John Colter, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October, 23 2023 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with a Memorial Service Immediately following at trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave.
