Nathan Charles 'Nate' Francis

Nathan Charles Francis, affectionately known by his family and friends “Nate”, was born December 9, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Bishop Ready High School and in 2007, he graduated from West High School where he participated on the football and track teams. During his senior year, Nate was one of eight students selected as Outstanding Student of the Year for the Columbus Public School District. After receiving his diploma, Nate enrolled in Marietta College, where he was working toward a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. At the age 20, Nate was called Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 27, 2010. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Luvenia and Nathaniel Garlington, and his paternal grandmother Betty Francis. Nate leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents Darlene and Charles Francis; his infant son De’Vaughn Lamar Poindexter, two sisters Nathena Francis and De’Auna Garlington; a niece Mari’Auna Luvene Garlington; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life 10 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Hebrew Baptist Church, 1338 Gault Street, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the start of service. Pastor Melvin I.
