Nneka Atiba

Nneka E. Atiba, (Mary Alice Williams), was born June 6, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from East High School in 1957. In 2000, she graduated from the Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Nneka retired from The City of Gahanna. After a long battle with diabetes, on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, surrounded by family, Nneka passed away. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Ruby Cook-Norwood, father, Horace Reed, sisters Norma Jean Minnis, Dorothy Smith, Annabelle Kelly, and Louise Sadler and brother Thomas Minnis. Nneka is survived by two sons, Hugh R. Williams (Sherrie), John H. Williams Jr. III; daughter, Gladys Ivory (Wilbert); ten grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Beard, and Ruth Ann Washington; sister-in-law, Charlotte Minnis; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Nneka loved to travel. She also loved her family. She will be greatly missed.
