Norma Jean Johnson, left this world on February 22, 2025, at the age of 83. Norma was born on December 17, 1941, in Carbon, West Virginia. She spent her final days in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by the love of her family. Norma was a dedicated educator, earning her Master’s degree in education and becoming a certified math teacher. She devoted 35 years of her life to teaching high school students, shaping the minds and futures of countless young individuals. Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, and she was known for her patience, kindness, and unwavering support for her students. In addition to her commitment to education, Norma had a creative spirit and loved to sew. Her hands crafted beautiful items, made with love and care, each stitch reflecting her warm personality and attention to detail. Norma is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Rosa Johnson, and her siblings: Walter, Robert, Oscar Johnson, Shirley Johnson, and Mary Bryant. She is survived by her loving brothers, Charles Johnson and George Johnson, who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. Norma Jean Johnson will be remembered not only for her profound impact on her students but also for her generous heart and creative spirit. She leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Burial will follow immediately at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
