Norman Childs Jr.

Norman L. Childs Jr., affectionally known as “Boobie” was born April 15, 1956, to the late Norman L. Childs Sr. and Ardella E. Childs. He is preceded in death by father Norman L. Childs Sr. and brother Ronald Childs. Norman attended the MRDD School program until the age of 18. As a young adult, Norman accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at The Greater Twelfth Baptist Church under the ministry of the late Reverend Cleophus Kee. He later moved his membership to Faith Ministries Church under the ministry of Dr. C. Dexter Wise III. Norman worked at ARC Industries and retired after 30 years of service. His favorite past time was watching TV and he loved sports, especially Wrestling (Monday Night Raw). Everything “stopped” when wrestling came on. The Pittsburgh Steelers was his favorite NFL football team, and The Ohio State Buckeyes was his favorite college football team. Norman also loved to bowl and draw cartoon characters. He leaves to cherish his memories, mother (Ardella); brothers, David (Rosalind) Childs and Michael (Marcia) Childs; sisters, Marchane (Eric) Pannell and Donna Rice; and sister-in-love Marvenia Childs and a host of nieces and nephews.
