Ocie Mae Battle

Ocie Mae Battle was born April 4, 1931, the 1st of 4 children in Crawfordville,GA. She later moved to Columbus,OH and married Arthur Battle SR. Mrs. Battle gave birth to 5 children. Ocie worked with special needs children and ran the kitchen at Trinity Baptist Church as Master Chef, never letting anyone go hungry. Mrs. Battle made sure the children were fed first and she had a plate for all who needed one. Mrs. Battle was a kindhearted, God loving woman who greeted all with a smile. Ocie Mae has been homebound for the last 10yrs but her iron-willed faith through GOD has never faltered. Ocie Mae Batte is our angel and now we know GOD needed her more. Ocie departed this life on June 18, 2019 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur SR; brother, Johnnie Baker; son, Arthur Battle JR; and grandson, Qunicy Battle. She leaves to cherish her memory Dorothy Battle, Rev DR. Willie(Yvonne) Battle, Lawrence Battle,and Ernestine Battle. Sisters Dorothy Guin and Burnice Meyers. Nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Daughter in-law Gloria Battle and sister in-law Sarah Battle, nieces, nephews, and friends.
