Ola Mae was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 15, 1941 to Robert and Elizabeth Ayers. She was the eldest of eight children. Ola married Gordon Hagwood in 1967. Her three children , Anita, Darrel and Bonnie, loved her dearly. Ola was a very caring soul, her door was always open. If you asked her to take you somewhere you could count on her to have you there twenty minutes early. She had to have a half tank of gas before she would move her car. Ola worked at Columbus City Schools where she retired after 35 years. Ola was wonderfully saved for almost 50 years. She was a faithful member of Deliverance Church of God Apostolic for over 20 years where Bishop Henry A. Page is pastor and thereafter was the mother of the church at Apostolic House of Worship for over 17 years where her son Elder Darrel D. Ayers is pastor. On August 7, 2017, Ola transitioned to her heaven home. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Elizabeth, her siblings Sadie, Berdetta, Robert (Shawna), Daniel (Barbara), Gary (Mary), Hosea (Edith) and Diane. Ola leaves to cherish her memory her children, Anita (Ricardo), Darrel (Christina) and Bonnie; grandchildren, Ericka (Michael), Kema (John), Derrick (Jovonna), Charity (Justin), Christian, Faith, Mayla, Salem, Darrel Jr. and Passion; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Zakiya, Jayla, Autumn, Alyssa, Justine and Julien; and a host of other friends and relatives.
