Olena Alice (Reeves) Garland

Olena Alice Reeves-Garland, age 103, passed December 9, 2015. Born January 29, 1912 to Rev. Olin W. and Junior D. Ector Reeves in Meansville, GA. A member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church for over 74 years. Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Roy Garland, Sr., children, Roy Jr., Willie Henry, and Ruth Louise, and 13 siblings. Survived by daughter Christine G. Hill; adopted daughter Ora Smith; son James O. Garland; son/grandson Victor C. (Deborah) Garland; brother Rev. Otha J. (Helen) Reeves; grandchildren, Melanie (Steve) Stokes, Crystal (Lawrence) Price, Zina (John) Ford, John Kemper, Jr., Sylvester Cowan, Ralph Miller, Ricky Fulton, Vincent Thompson, and James T. Hill, Jr., daughter-in-law Dorothy Kemper of Augusta, GA; sisters-in-law, Daisy Reeves of Meansville, and Mary Reeves of Atlanta, GA; a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins in OH, GA, PA, and NY; as well as special sons, Nathaniel Woods, Willie Dickerson, Tyson Tucker, and Leonard Davis; and caregiver Karen Mahone.
