Orlando Mullins Jr.

Orlando W. Mullins Jr., or “Tuffy” as he was affectionately known, departed this life at the age of 62 on December 26, 2022. He was born January 26, 1960 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio to Alice and Orlando Mullins Sr.

Orlando graduated from Eastmoor High School and Southeast Career Center with a certificate in heating and cooling in 1978.

He served his country in the United States Air Force 1969 – 1981 and was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Orlando worked for various companies including formerly, Munckle Heating, OSU Hospital, Ohio Heating and Cooling, and Doctor’s Hospital until he formed his own company, Creative Air Conditioning and Cooling in 1998.

He truly enjoyed vacations, grocery shopping, gardening and boating. He cherished his family and loved family get-togethers. Orlando’s life is a testimony of love, caring and giving.

Orlando was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother, Lizzie Crowder; paternal grandmother, Rosa Cunningham; paternal grandfather, James E. (Mary) Mullins; maternal great grandparents, Rev. Robert P. (Bertha M.) Jackson; maternal grandparents James I. (Lovena) Ford; mother Alice F. Mullins, and Godfather, Dr. G. Thomas Turner.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Father, Orlando W. (Patricia) Mullins Sr.; Brother, Brian C. (Senita) Mullins Sr.; Step-brothers: Dwight D. Allen and Karl G. Allen; Nieces: Brianna M. (ReShawn) Mullins, Brittany E. Mullins, Carter F. Duncan, Sharayah A. Mullins, Amoraye Q. Mullins, Elia R. Mullins and Bonus Niece Natajshia T. Hess; Nephews: Brandon C. Mullins of Charlotte, NC, Brian C. (Savannah) Mullins Jr., Dwight S. Allen of Tampa, FL, Xavier L. Holmes, Amari L. Thurmond, Shai A. Thurmond, Houston C. Autrey, Harlem B. Autrey and Brian C. Mullins. Work partners: Earl Breckenridge Jr., Terry James, Michael Anderson, Lowell and Rev. Roger Ford; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
