Paris L. Taylor, age 87, went home to the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2010. She was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on January 26, 1923. Paris graduated from Carver High School in Spartanburg and enjoyed attending the Carver High School All Class Reunion-2010. Former member of Oakley Baptist Church and Second Community Church, where she served on several committees and assisted with Vacation Bible School. Paris was a member and past president of Kappa Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and enjoyed attending their activities until her illness. Predeceased by her loving husband, Paul R. Taylor, Sr.; parents, Ben and Lula Davis Bowman; four siblings, Georgia Lee Neal of New York City, Walter Raleigh Bowman of Columbus, OH, John Davis Bowman of Columbia, SC, and Bennie Bowman of Columbus, OH; one sister-in law, Clementine Bowman of Columbia, SC; and one special grandson, Christopher A. Taylor of Columbus, OH. Paris leaves to cherish her memory her children, Carol Taylor of Houston, TX; Pamela (Pattrick) Turner, Paula (Stephen) Burgess, Paul R. (Gilda) Taylor, Jr., Deborah Scobey of Columbia, SC.; siblings of Spartanburg, SC, Ruth Bowman, Margaret Hawkins; and Eddie Uncle Ray Bowman; sisters-in-law of Columbus, OH, Myrtle Bowman and Bessie Bowman; twenty grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, special cousin, Raymond Bowman of Dayton, OH; other relatives and friends including her special friend, Annie Bobo of Spartanburg, SC.
