Patricia Yvonne 'Pat ' Anderson

Patricia Yvonne Simons-Anderson, born February 28, 1945 departed this life August 23, 2014 to go home to glory. A beautiful and striking woman, Patricia (Pat) was the epitome of strength. Those who knew her were blessed by her comforting, warm spirit and unselfish love. Her family came first and her love for them was unconditional; they knew she would be there for them no matter the circumstances. She made an impact on everyone she encountered, her sense of humor and witty charm will never be forgotten. Pat is predeceased by her mother Florida Johnson, father William Johnson, grandmother Viola Armstrong, aunts Fannie Mae Mack and Margaret Yates, sister Viola White, and brother Robert Collins. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Yvonne Yvette Anderson; grand-daughter, Octavia (Eddie) Thomas; sisters, Veronica Harris and Linda Carter; brother, Julius Collins; two great-grandchildren, Charlique Whickum and Marquis Anderson; uncle, Doctor Charles Hollingsworth; aunts, Saundra (Charles) Davis, Dorothy (Eddie) Stanley and Betty Bethel; special daughter, Vernita (Baby) Harris; special friend, Karen Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends, and dog “Billy D”.
