Patty Omega (Bondurant) Harris, born May 3, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to Grace (Pinkney) and Thomas Bondurant. Patty was the eighth of 15 children born of this union. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Missouri City, Texas where she made her home after living most of her life in Columbus. Patty married Charles Harris in August 1967. She gained 5 bonus children: Jackie, Kathy, Carmen, Rickey and Lisa. They also had five more: Paula, Kiilu, Kareem, Richard and Kiisha. Patty gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Columbus Bibleway Church, where she loved singing in the choir with Charles. She retired from AT&T after 21 years of dedicated service and spent her remaining years enjoying being with her family; especially her grandchildren and working crossword puzzles. Preceded in death by husband Charles Harris, parents Thomas and Grace Bondurant, brothers Paul, Leroy, Ronald and Thomas Bondurant. Sisters Roberta & Barbara Bondurant, Judy Harper and Kathy Cohran. Sister-in-laws Vivian and Elnora Bondurant, Alice Moore and Carmella Felder. She is survived by children Paula (Marcus) Hill, Kiilu, Kareem (Denise), Richard (Latasha) and Kiisha Harris; Stepchildren Jacqueline (Lorenzo) Bundy, Kathy Harris, Carmen (Ward) Triplett, Rickey Harris, Alisa (Calvin) Mattison. Grandchildren Chantal (Darrell) O’Neal, Daylan, Daija, Tyon, Amaiya, Leah, Keylan, and Kareem, Harris, Shaunice Wood, Taeveon Vaughn, Caleb Johnson, Janaiya and Kevin Wiley, Shiloh and Naomi Hill. Great-grandchildren Alea Vaughn, Ava Grace & Zora Lynne O’Neal and Taylan Oliver. 14 step grand and great grandchildren. Brothers, David (Lydia), Richard (Wanda), and Rev. John T. (Leisia) Bondurant; sisters, Geri Clanton, Carmen (Charles) Hill, Linda (Greg) Morris, and Evangelist June (Bishop Edward) Black. Brother-in-law Louis Harper; sisters-in-law Charlene and Sherrye Bondurant and a host of niece’s, nephew’s and other relatives.
