Paul Anthony Jordan

Paul Anthony Jordan, 72, died Tuesday, January 2, 2019, in Columbus, Ohio. He loved sports, politics, and travel, and his family was a source of great pride. Paul went to Kent State University and met and married Phyllis, his wife of 48 years. He also played football and pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. at Kent. He and Phyllis raised their four kids in Whitehall, OH. He was an integral member of the community and served on the City Planning Commission and Parks & Recreation board for several years, as well as being an athletic booster for over 25 years. Paul was a Supervisor at State Farm Insurance for over 35 years and was essential to the success of the operation. He was also a proud member of Mt. Vernon AME Church and married his bride there in 1970. Paul is survived by his wife, Phyllis, brother Sam (Denise), children, Stephanie, Adrienne, Paula (Grzegorz), Anthony (Monica), nephews (Jamaal (Mara), Rashad (Nicole), grandchildren Kennedy, Lewis, and Evan and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. As an expression of sympathy, our family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kobacker House Hospice Care at 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, OH 43214.
