Paul Clifton Flemister Sr., age 61, of Columbus, Ohio, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Surrounded by loved ones, he died at Doctor’s West Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born on November 17, 1951 to James and Hazel Flemister. Paul worked for the City of Columbus Refuse Department, from which he retired in 1998. He had an avid love for football and coached many leagues in Columbus. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Miriam King and daughter, Tracey Miller-Torbert. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Edwina Flemister; sons, Paul (Nakia) Flemister Jr., DeShawn (Marlene) Riggins, Deshaun (Summer) Flemister; daughter, Monique Fagin; stepchildren, Gayle (Carlos) Pace, Alana Golden and Ernest (Maria) Stomer; special son, Gerald (Misty) Byrd; caregiver, Mark’el Robinson; 19 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
