Paul was an active, affectionate, devoted husband and father who encouraged maintaining a relationship with the Lord whenever possible. He strived to always take as great of care as possible for his family. He was known for his solid work ethics and demonstrated that by working at the State of Ohio as a custodial driver for 30 years and retired at the age of 55. He lived a humble, but yet fulfilling life until the age of 89.

His passions included lawn care, growing tomatoes and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He could fry up a mean piece of fish with his only special blend of cornmeal and seasonings that no one could duplicate. Everyone drooled over his fried fish and fried green tomatoes. Family would come to visit from out of town and it was the first thing they would request for dinner. He enjoyed watching football and basketball with his wife and taking drives through the country to visit her parents. Their commitment to one another was a true love story confirmed by 65 years of marriage. Paul had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed spending time with his family and conversation with his fellow neighbors. He was better known in the neighborhood as Mr. J and people had great respect for him.

His morals and family values will live on for generations.
