Pauline Melody Singletary was born March 23, 1920 in Premier, West Virginia to James and Louise Pannell. She went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the age of 97 years old. Preceded in death by her former husband, Pauline was a loving mother to 4 children: Frank, Jr., James, Ronald and Marilyn. Pauline was a school teacher for 25 years having graduated from West Virginia State College in 1942. There she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She was a member of Asbury North United Methodist Church serving on the Evangelism Committee, Communion steward, Sunday school teacher and an officer with the United Methodist Women. Her hobbies were Bible study and gardening. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Louise and James Pannell. Siblings; Ellis (Mattie) Thomas, Juanita (Pete) Coleman, James and Evelyn. Special nieces: Brenda Pollard, Louise Simmons, Jocelyn Thomas and Cousin Phyllis Lanier. Pauline leaves to cherish her loving memory children, Frank (Mary), James (Trudy), Ronald and Marilyn; grandchildren, Shawn, Luisa, Emmanuel and Michael; great grands, Xavier and Jayden; nieces, June Thomas - Watkins, Billie Simmons, Dorothy Bynum, Paula Thomas and Linda Scott; nephews, Ellis Thomas Jr., Willie Simmons and John Thomas. Pauline has many more family members and friends.
