Peggy Jean Walker

Peggy Jean Harrison Walker was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on February 7, 1939 to Dorothy and Ernest Birdsall. Peggy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She went home to be with the Lord on her 73rd birthday February 7, 2012. Peggy became a member of Martin Luther King Temple No.1216 on February 22, 1992 with several honors achieved. Peggy climbed the ranks in the organization beginning with Officer Central District Counsel; Officer Sportettes Unit No. 1160; Officer Trustee Ohio State Association; Member of Past State President Club of Ohio, culminating with her top honor 2005 Past Grand Daughter Ruler Honor’s. She is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Ernest Birdsall; her loving husband Desmer Harrison. She leaves to cherish her memories, David E. Crockett, her sister Joyce A. Birdsall; daughters, Vanessa R. Birdsall-Russell, LaShawna (Ernest) Day; Pamela Stroud; Candace Diggs and a special nephew Dorsey (Carol) Birdsall; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren all of Columbus, Ohio; one very special friend who was like a sister, Maxine Mapp; and a host of extended family and friends.
