Phyllis A. Latham-Carpenter

Phyllis A. Latham-Carpenter, 74, was called from labor to reward April 29th, 2018. A life-long resident of Columbus, OH, she was an East High School alumnus and graduated from Columbus Business University, obtaining a degree in Business Administration. She retired in the Social Work field after 30 years of honorable employment working for the State of Ohio. Ms. Carpenter absolutely loved the Lord! She was a devoted and prominent member of Greater Vision Missionary Baptist Church, performing duties of Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Nurse, and lastly, Choir Member. Preceded in death by parents Dedrick Latham Sr. and Bertha Carpenter; brothers Dedrick Jr. (Sue), and Donald Latham (Patricia); sisters Betty Alexander-Kelly, and Margaret Neal (Charles). Survived by brothers Joel (Jackie) and Ronald Latham. Sons Timothy Latham, Terone Gordon, and Tobias Latham (Stephanie). Daughters Tanya Miniefield (James), Tracy Latham, and Theresa Porter (Channin). Step Daughter Carmen Phillips. Loyal friends and providers Larry Thomas, Terryl (Gino) Davis and Bronsha Howard; 12 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren, and countless loved ones.
