Rayanna Regina 'Jean' (Ragland) Shipley

Rayanna Regina “Jean” Shipley, born August 17, 1953, departed this life on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. A lifelong resident of Columbus, she retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio after 32 years of service. Preceded in death by husband Ronald H. Shipley and father Paul Robert Ragland, Sr. Survived by daughters Tamlyn (Tracy) McCrary and Latasha C. Draughon; mother Evelyn J. Ragland; grandchildren Shakerra McCrary and Chaquan Draughon; sisters, Paulette Payton, Mary Draughon, and Juanita Connor, all of Columbus; brothers Robert (Sonya) Ragland of Columbus and Paul (Patricia) Ragland of Fairbanks, Alaska; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Celebration of Life 10 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until start of service. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
