Raymond Van Goode Sr. was born on December 2, 1946 in Keystone, West Virginia. He was a resident of Columbus, Ohio for the past 34 years. Raymond worked at the Bryden Place as a floor technician, Wexner Heritage on College Avenue and Bridgestreet, Inc. in Dublin, Ohio. He was an excellent drummer and a fantastic D.J. He had a special love for all music. He was also an excellent cook. He loved to feed people and watch them eat. Raymond loved his three children and was especially proud that they excelled in their careers. He was also proud of the love that he and his wife, Mae, had for each other that had endured after 44 years of marriage. Raymond passed from this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Gordon Goode; grandmother, Mary L. Adams; stepfather, Robert Grey; sister, Barbara Spriggs; brother, Robert Grey Jr. and godmother, Sammie Nutter. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mae Price Goode; daughter, Shawn; sons, Raymond (Carol) and Derek (Morgen); mother, Anna Grey; sister, Aqua (Alonzo) Jones; brother, Steven (Jean) Grey; 3 aunts, Claudette Strother, Deloris Harris and Donna Swayne; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a host of cousins, family and friends; special friends, Sabrina Kinzen, Faith Edwards and Kim Shamburger and special brothers, James, Lenny, Chuckie and Michael Nutter.
