Raymond Lee Bradshaw was born January 21, 1925 to Cora Turpin and William H. Bradshaw in Williamson, West Virginia. Raymond's friends called him Jimmy, but he was lovingly known as PaPa to many others including his family, friends, nurses, doctors, and home health aides. PaPa graduated from Liberty High School in Williamson. He is a veteran of the United States Army, who while in active duty, was assigned to the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign. During his service, he received several military awards and commendations. After being honorably discharged in 1945, PaPa relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where he met and married Margaret MeMe Richardson. PaPa and MeMe were married for sixty-two years. PaPa retired from the Conrail Railroad after forty-two years of service. He and MeMe enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, and they especially loved playing cards with Delores, Dianne, Michael, and Tolber. PaPa supported and attended Brookhaven and Mifflin Drill Team competitions, and he loved Eastmoor and Walnut Ridge Volleyball games. He also loved driving Cadillacs, dancing, and spending time outdoors while conversing and socializing with his neighbors. PaPa always dressed to kill. He just enjoyed life! He often attended Trinity Baptist Church and New Covenant Believers' Church. On Sunday, February 22, 2015, Raymond PaPa Bradshaw went home to be with the Lord while at Wexner Heritage Village in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bradshaw, mother Cora Bailey, father William Bradshaw, and brother Herman (Leah) Bradshaw. Left to cherish memories of PaPa are his children, Sheila (William) Butler, Dianna Fraley and Charles Wayne Fraley; sisters, Creola Huston and Phyllis Fouse; granddaughter DuShon Johnson; great grandchildren, Britney Hill and Antonio Johnson, Jr.; great-great grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, KeShaw, Karmelo, and Justin; many loving nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. A special Thank You to Agnes Johnson, Martha Shug Slone, and the hospice team members.
