Raymond, Uncle Raym, as his nieces and nephews called him, was an avid hunter and fisherman, which were two of his passions. His other passion was watching thoroughbred race horses in competition. He loved music. He was an accomplished and highly skilled jazz saxophonist. Raymond proudly served in the United States Army and was a disabled veteran of World War II.
