Rev. Dr. Robert James Watkins, Jr.

Robert James Watkins, Jr. was born October 2, 1939 to Lillie Mae Watkins and Robert James Watkins. He departed this life on June 10, 2021 at Ohio State University Central Hospital in Columbus, OH. He accepted Christ at an early age and pastored Lighthouse Church of Christ Charity Mission Full Gospel Baptist Church in Crawford, MS. He graduated from Freemont High School Class of 1957; and Attended Whittier College Class of 1961; Enlisted in the US Army in 1962; He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maxine Watkins; and sisters, Joyce Watkins and Carolyn Watkins. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving brother, Melvin Watkins; sister, Joan Watkins; two children, Malik R. Watkins and Kelly D. Smith; grandchildren, Rodney Glover, Salim Watkins, Alex Smith, Asia Watkins, A'ishah Watkins and Mackenzie Smith; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Watkins, Alea Worthen, Milani Watkins, Eris Watkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
