Rev. Jimmy Bradshaw Jr

Pastor Jimmy Bradshaw Jr. was born to the late Diane and Jimmy Bradshaw Sr. on September 25, 1932 in Thomson, Georgia. As a small child he had a love for the church and reading the Bible. When they were children his brothers and sisters remember him taking them down to the creek to be baptized. He also had a passion for singing as he was well known for his harmonious vocals. He was often called upon to sing at numerous programs. Pastor Bradshaw became an ordained minister at the age of 19 and at the age of 25 he became the youth pastor. When Jimmy turned 29 the presiding Bishop took notice that not only could Pastor Bradshaw sing but he also had a fiery preaching style that captivated an audience. All this plus his leadership skills made Pastor Bradshaw a force to be reckoned with. It was decided that he should become Senior Pastor. His three choices were Norfolk, VA, Los Angeles, CA or Columbus, OH. Needless to say which one he and his wife chose. Years later he became pastor of Solid Rock Temple King of Kings for 37 years. He loved and adored his church and members. Pastor Bradshaw took flight on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, leaving a host of loving family members and friends to cherish his memory. Pastor Bradshaw will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Jonnie Mae Bradshaw; daughter, Cherri Bradshaw; sons, Marlon Bradshaw and Jerold (Sheilah) Bradshaw; 3 grandchildren, Hunter Bradshaw, Jaylin Bradshaw, and Jarrin Bradshaw; special niece, Keysha Sims; brothers, Tommy (Gloria) Mance, William Mance, Dot Bradshaw, Lynn (Ethel) Mance; Sisters, Fannie Mance Sims, Annie Tutt and Diane Bussey; brother-in-laws, Willie (Hilda) Gunter, Horace (Mickie) Gunter, Ervin Gunter; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Lou Harris and Alberta Williams; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his daughter, Roberta Bradshaw; grandchild, Pamesa Bradshaw; sisters, Rose Bradshaw, Sally Mance, Lucille Mance; and brothers, Pete Davis and Johnny Mance.
