Rev. Stephen W. Robinson

Reverend Stephen W. Robinson, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. He graduated from East High School where he lettered in football and track. He served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 7 years in the U.S. Army as a recruiter. He was first licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Pilgrim Baptist Church and later at Shiloh Baptist Church where he went on to teach Sunday School, Bible study, wrote a column in the church bulletin and headed up the Prison Ministry. He retired in 2004 after working 23 years for COTA. Preceded in death by parents Jean and Arthur Robinson; brothers David, Morris, Charles and Arthur “Boo” Robinson; sisters Joann Wilson, Arlene McClure. Survived by his sisters, Jeanette Rogers, Ledora (John) Johnson, Joyce North and many loving and caring nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
