Rev. William Augustus Mason

William Augustus Mason was born on March 13, 1932 to the union of the late Wallace and Geneva Mason, in Rockville, Maryland. He served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years and retired as a First Sergeant. Rev. Mason was a faithful minister at Shiloh Baptist Church and was also a member of the Baptist Pastors and Ministers Alliance of Columbus, Ohio. Rev. Mason had 5 sons from his first marriage; Mark Sr. (Betty), William Alvin (Yvonne), Wallace (Alva), Theodore (Karen) and Don (Toni) Mason. He was a loving and faithful husband to Helen F. Mason for 23 years. He departed this life on June 13, 2013 at Ohio State University Hospital - East. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, William Alvin and Theodore Mason; brothers Lornezo and Tommy and sisters, Gertrude and Jenny. He leaves to mourn, wife, Helen; 3 sons, Mark Sr., Wallace and Don; sister, Ester (Bunt) Young; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mary McKiver-Jenkins, Mrs. Shirley Carey and Mrs. Toni (Roy Sr.) Steward; 2 brothers-in-law, Mr. Donald M., Cephus and Mr. Roy L. Stewart Sr.; special friends, Pastor and Mrs. H. Joy Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Al Duncan, Pastor and Mrs. Robert Medley, Pastor and Mrs. Herman Noble; special niece, Mrs. Jeannetta Shedrick; many other family members and friends; Pastor Ted (Netta) Swan, Pastor Donald Green, Mrs. Rennetta Travis and Mrs. Jackie Porter.
