Reva D. Alexander was born May 5, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama. She resided in New Britain, Connecticut before moving to Columbus, Ohio, where she attended Franklin University and retired from a 38-year career with the State of Ohio, Department of Health and Homeland Security. On December 24, 2016, at the age of 64, Reva departed this life life while at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Her parents, Annie Rose Foster and Coleman Foster, Sr., preceded her in death. Reva is survived by her husband, Johnny H. Alexander, Jr.; son Johnny H. Alexander, III (Kendra); sisters, Rita Williamson (her twin) and Merna (Peter) Hill; brothers, Coleman Foster, Jr. (Carol), Calvin Foster, Roderick Foster, and Steven (Mary Jane) Foster; nieces, Terri Harper, Rene Foster, and Jessica Foster; nephews, Joshua Foster and Ricki Foster; and a host of other relatives and friends. Reva was known for making friends and helping others. She modeled her life in the image of Christ and therefore found great joy in loving and caring for her family, friends, and neighbors. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
