Rex Baldwin was born on August 31, 1958 in Montgomery, AL. In 1969, his family relocated to Columbus, OH. Rex was a live wire, and he was a handful for his mother, but his mother made sure all her children knew the word of God and Rex knew his Bible. Rex was saved and received Christ as his Lord and Savior. Rex earned his GED, and he also had a culinary degree. Rex was a utility worker, and he was handy in many trades. He was an excellent artist; skilled with paint and pencil drawings. In his younger days, he was known for his boxing skills and working out. Rex had no children, but all of his nieces and nephews loved and honored his awesome heart to help. Rex was a helper to anyone in need, and he was the protector of the family. Rex departed this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Laural of Wardens Park. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Cecil and Margaret Baldwin; brother, Vernon Wilson; and sister, Vickie Baldwin. He is survived by his brothers, Errol Wilson, Mike Baldwin, Steve Baldwin, Tony Baldwin, Greg Baldwin, and Derek Baldwin; sisters, Jean Baldwin and Sabrina Baldwin-Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
