Richard Boyer Jr. was born on March 25, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Columbus Public schools and was baptized at Asbury United Methodist Church. After high school Richard enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean War. After being Honorably Discharged he returned home to Columbus. During those years, Richard was blessed with five children. Richard worked in the trucking industry for thirty years before retiring in 1998. He owned his own business Columbus Industrial Mowing and Hauling which he operated full time after retiring from Consolidated Freightways. Richard enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, and working on his farm. On Sunday, October 7, 2012 Richard was called to eternal life. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Boyer Sr. and Mary J. Boyer, brothers Raymond and Jeff Boyer, and son Lamont Martin. He is survived by his children, Richard (Emmily) Boyer III, Nikki (William) Howell, Julie (Gregory) Elleman, Mara L. Boyer; brothers, Michael (Mary) Boyer, Melvin Thompson, Glen (Melissa) Boyer; sisters, Charlene (William) Sullivan, and Rikki (Cleveland) Brown; grandchildren, Antoine (India) Wilson, Antwan (Lori Ann) Williams, Richard Wakefield, Rickardo Boyer, Roddrick Boyer, Taven Howell, Nicholas Elleman, Rasheeda Farmer, Jordan Howell, Jessica Elleman; twelve great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A very special thanks to close friend and companion Nadine Hartway. The family would like to thank everyone who prayed and supported the family.
