Richard Osia Coleman

Richard O. Coleman, Sr. age 89, went home to be with the Lord June 17, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He retired from Ohio Malleable Iron and Steel Company with over thirty years of service, and he worked security for St. Ann's Hospital for over ten years. Richard was born to the late William Edward and Lealia Barbour Coleman of Halifax County, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers William and Eddie Lee Coleman, sister Sherrie Coleman Turner, daughter Christine Rooker-Nance, and long time friend Emma George. He is survived by the mother of his children, Channie Peppers-¬Miller, of Columbus, OH; sons, Richard Coleman Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, William Daniel (Renessa) Coleman of Columbus, OH, Alphonso (Theresa) Coleman of Columbus, OH, and brother John Calvin (Diann) Coleman of Columbus, OH; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
