Robert Eugene Watson

Robert Eugene Watson, Sr., 76, was born on December 1, 1942 to James Herman Watson, Sr. and Thelma Florence Watson. He was the fifth of eight children. He transitioned from this life on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Robert attended East High School where he and all his siblings graduated. He was employed by Anheuser Busch where he retired after 37 yrs. Affectionately known as “Bobby”, Robert was certainly a Comedian and a joy to be around. He had a love for automobiles, especially his favorite THEE CORVETTE. Preceded in death by his father, James Herman Watson Sr.; mother, Thelma F. Watson; and brothers, Ronald (Cleo) Watson, James H. (Katie) Watson, Jr., and Gary A. Watson, Sr. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Marian Watson; son, Robert Watson, Jr.; grandchildren, Spencer and Addison Watson; brothers, Frederick L. (Nada) Watson and Edward Watson; sisters, Wetona Walker-Carey and Janice Thompson; sister-in-laws, Harriett L. Watson, Bernice (Robert) Foster and Barbara Peterson; bro-in-law, Julian (Cathy) Peterson; a host of wonderful nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; and very special friend, Michael Mendenhaugh. Robert Watson had many family and friends who loved him from near and far. He will be sincerely missed by all.
