May 6, 1933 — February 4, 2013

Robert Stanley White was born May 6, 1933 to Tony White and Della Cope¬land, in Columbus, Ohio. He was one of seven children born to this couple. He departed this life February 4, 2013 at Kobacker House at the age of 79 years. Robert attended Pilgrim Elementary, Champion Junior High and East High Schools. In 1951, at the age of eighteen, he joined the United States Army where he honorably served for four years. While in the service, his travel took him to Germany. He was in an elite group of special young men who represented the U.S. Army on a boxing team. It was said, He was quite good at his craft. After being discharged from the Service, he attended C.T.I. [currently the Columbus State Community College) from which he graduated. Later, he met and married Evaline Bryant on December 31, 1972 in Columbus, Ohio. This union was blessed with six children. Robert worked for C.M.A.C.O. as a property manager. He had excellent ethics and skills. He took pride in his work, and was greatly appreciated by his co-workers. Robert came to the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith under the pastorate of District Elder Ernest L. Hardy. He was baptized and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. He loved Sunday School, taught by Elder Earl Brewer and Elder Melvin Shlppe. He attended every Sunday until his health prevented him from doing so. Robert was a faithful member of the Brotherhood, active on the Local, State, and International levels. He sang in the Male Choir and he enjoyed the music as much as the camaraderie of the brothers. He was one of the brothers who prepared the area where they cooked the pig for our Labor Day Church picnics. He had close and loving friendships with Elder Leroy Kemp, Jr. and Deacon Sims Sessley. Robert had a lovinq and caring relationship with his family and friends. He loved to cook (barbeque was a specialty). He loved to fish and was an avid gardener which was one of his passions as evidenced by his green thumb. Robert also enjoyed watching sports especially box¬ing.
