Robert Bob Zellner, Jr. was born April 30, 1938 to Leara Bell Means and Robert Zellner, Sr. He was raised by Eleanor and Jim Rutland in Unadilla, Georgia. As an honorable member of the United States Air Force, Bob was one of the first Black men to work in the missile silos, loading missiles into American fighter jets. He was a devoted husband, father, and salesman for over forty years at Bob-Boyd Lincoln-Mercury. He lived a Christian life and was a dedicated member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. In his spare time, he was an avid gardener and loved to play Bid Whist with his friends. He had a sterling work ethic, but most important, an intense love and pride for family. On February 10, 2016, Robert Zellner, Jr. passed away at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leara Richardson, Robert Zellner, Sr., and Eleanor and Jim Rutland, and sister Cherie Lee Davis. He leaves to mourn, his wife of 35 years, Vicki L. Zellner; children, Michael C. (Lisa) Allen, Leslie Allen, Robert Rob (Kristen) Zellner, III, and Jasmine Zellner; brother Christopher Zellner; sisters, Lillie (Ben) Issac, Sharon (Ralph) Smith, Erma Zellner, Robbie Jean (Robert) Sturgis, Lillian Zellner, and Aubrey Zellner; grandchildren, Anthony Allen, Michaela Allen, Caden Zellner, Tatianna Allen, Leah Hargrave, Derrick Zellner, and Ava Zellner; four great grandchildren; mother-in-law Lois Ware; special friend Ann Allen; and a host of other relatives and friends.
