Rochelle Elizabeth Ervin King was born September 27, 1957 to Dorothy G. North Ervin and Jesse B. Ervin, Sr. in Columbus, Ohio. She attended Columbus Public Schools and matriculated to South High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1976. The following year, Rochelle was hired at Grant Medical Center, where she enjoyed taking care of others. She retired with over 27 years of dedicated service. Rochelle was blessed with two daughters and three granddaughters whom she loved and cherished. Her nieces and nephews loved spending time with their Aunt Rochelle. Her house was always the fun house and no one ever wanted to leave. Rochelle loved the Lord. She gave herself to Christ and believed in His power. We, the family, love her deeply and we are devastated by our loss. On Monday, May 5, 2014, at the age of 56, Rochelle was called from this earthly life to rest eternally with her Heavenly Father. In addition to her parents, Rochelle was predeceased by her uncles, Thomas North, James North, and Daniel North, and a cousin, Calvin Carr. Those who remain to cherish memories of Rochelle are her daughters, Sabrina T. King, VeronicaA. King, and adopted daughter, Cynthia Wells; granddaughters, Brionna Williams, and Tanasia and Tamya Jones; sisters, Gwen, Marilynn (Timothy), Dory (Anthony), and Lydia; brothers, Jesse Jr. and Daniel; uncle, Frank North; aunt, Joyce North, all of Columbus, Ohio; cousins, Anita Renee and Michelle of Chicago, Illinois, Christina, Amanda Floyd, and William Reed; friend and former husband, Joseph King; dear friends, Lula Dickerson and Karen Sheridan; and a host of other relatives and friends.
