Ronald “Pali” Albert Palmore was born on April 24, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio. Pali completed the cycle of life on Monday, December 19, 2016. He was one of eight children born to the late Robert A. and Geraldine G. Palmore. His parents passed away when he and his twin brother Roland were 5 years old. The twins were raised by their eldest sisters, Constance Sanders and Mary Moore. After graduating from East High School, Pali was drafted by the United States Army and stationed in Germany. Upon his return to the United States, he completed his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Franklin University. Pali began his professional career at the Franklin County Recorder’s Office. As he progressed through his career, he held various management positions with the Defense Construction Supply Center (DCSC), where he retired after more than 20 years of service. Pali was a proud member of New Salem Baptist Church. Pali loved his sports. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan—watching them faithfully. And he loved to travel and party with the Old Timers Basketball League. Pali served as the Midwest Regional President for the American Old Timers Basketball League, and was elected to the office of Business Manager for the Westerville Old Timers Club (WOT). He is the only person to ever be elected to two offices at the same time for WOT. Pali was a devoted and loving father, brother, son and friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Family and friends were a very important part of his life. He never missed a birthday party, graduation or holiday gathering. Pali never met a stranger. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many. Pali was preceded in death by his wife LaVerne Palmore; twin brother, Roland (Erma Jean) Palmore; brothers, Robert (Imogene) Palmore, Melvin (Marjorie) Palmore, and Edward Palmore and sister, Constance Sanders.
