Ronald Joseph Holmes, II, Sunrise, September 25, 1958 and he chose his Sunset to be with the Lord on May 2, 2016. Ronald, affectionately known as “Ronnie”, graduated from Marion Franklin High School in 1976, where he played football and was on the golf team. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy. While stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, he attended Firefighting School where he received certifications in Shipboard Firefighting, Gen. Damage Control and PQS MAG Sprinkler System Oper/Maint/Team Leader. He also received an Associate degree for Medical Assistant (RMA) Analysis. Ronnie was previously employed by Columbus Coated Fabric until its closing. He was then employed by Armstrong World Industries until his departure. Ronnie loved football. His two favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Ronnie was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Jefferson, aunts, Ruth Ann Moorer, Della Long and Margie Massey, uncles, Johnny and Ronnie Long. sisters, Rochelle Williams and Linda Jefferson, brother William Jefferson. Left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife Mary Holmes; daughter Melisa Holmes (David Brown); sons, Ronald Holmes, III and Phillip Towns; grandchildren, Amir and Amari Brown; father General T. Jefferson, Jr.; sisters, Chana (Pastor Robert) Taylor, Robin Holmes, Rhonda (Jon) Langford, Velvet (Al) Burris, and Doris Jefferson; brothers, General III (Ceola), Robert (Trish), Joseph and Cornell Jefferson; uncles Colby, Vernon, Michael (Sheila) Long, Thomas (Patsy) and Earnest (Mary) Jefferson; aunt Linda Mann; and host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
